An award-winning sports journalist and media campaigner with almost two decades experience working across national newspapers, Sam spearheaded The Mail on Sunday’s Cudlipp Prize shortlisted “concussion in rugby” campaign. In 2014 he was short-listed for sports journalist of the year at the Press Gazette Awards and was subsequently named one of Rugby World’s 50 most influential figures in rugby. Sam began his journalism career at the Press Association before moving to Hayters Teamwork. He has subsequently written for, among others, The Sunday Times and The Mirror and is author of two books.
